TWAS research grant, apply by 31 August
To build scientific capacity, The third world Academy of Sciences(TWAS), established by Abdus Salam, Noble laureate in Physics, provide grants in two catagories to individual researcher and research units from 81 scientifically lagging developing countries. Bangladesh belongs to this list of countries identificed by TWAS. The list is here
1. TWAS Research Grants Programme in Basic Sciences
Under this scheme, grants are awarded to high-level promising research projects in
- mathematics and
carried out by either individual scientists or research units in the 81 S&T-lagging countries (S&TLCs) identified by TWAS. Deadline: 31 August.
2.TWAS-COMSTECH Joint Research Grants
For young scientists in OIC countries working in science and technology to enable them to purchase the research facilities they need to enhance their productivity.
The programme provides support for research projects in the following fields of science and technology:
- earth sciences,
- engineering sciences,
- information technology and computer sciences,
- materials science including nanotechnology,
- pharmaceutical sciences and
- renewable energy.
The deadline for receiving applications is 31 August each year.
