PhD position summary/title: PhD position in computational psychiatry
Our lab is interested in novel ways of phenotyping psychotic disorders, such as quantitative analysis of speech and language with large language models and natural language processing. In the context of a multinational EU Horizon project (TRUSTING) we will apply quantitative language analysis to predict relapse in psychotic disorders in a clinical trial. We will design and implement multimodal paradigms (e.g. combined fMRI and speech production) and use methods such as machine learning, multilevel analyses and computational modeling to decompose behavioral performance into interpretable aspects of cognitive and perceptual processing.

PhD position summary/title: PhD Student Positions in Bioinorganic Chemistry
The research of the group of Prof. Dr. Eva Freisinger is focused on the investigation of metallothioneins from different organisms. MTs are rather small cysteine-rich proteins with the ability to coordinate a number of transition metal ions. The positions are standard full-time PhD positions, formally designated 60% based on the officially assigned salary class.

PhD position summary/title: PhD student
The University of Zurich (UZH) is seeking talented and motivated individuals to join an international consortium dedicated to advancing the field of digital prediction and intervention for suicidality. We invite applications for the following position: doctoral researcher at UZH in Zurich, Switzerland (in collaboration with Prof. Sebastian Olbrich and Prof. Birgit Kleim). MULTICAST is a four-year SNSF-founded project and a collaborative effort between the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich, the Department of Psychology of the University of Zurich, the German Department of the University of Zurich, and the Department of Psychiatry, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, USA. It takes an interdisciplinary approach to the prediction of suicidal ideation (SI) and suicidal behavior (SB) by drawing on key linguistic, psychological, clinical, and neurobiological features. The overarching aim of the project is to broaden our understanding of how suicidal ideation can best be predicted and to develop precise and efficacious smartphone-based treatment strategies.

PhD position summary/title: Open PhD Student position in theoretical chemistry
The PhD project will deal with development and application of novel, accurate approaches for the study of functional compounds. A possible direction of the project is the development of advanced dynamic approaches for detailed and realistic study of reaction mechanisms and reaction networks considering in a sophisticated manner environmental effects (also under catalytic conditions). This can include the development of advanced enhanced sampling approaches and embedding techniques for highly accurate description beyond the DFT level / at catalytic conditions (possibly also combined with machine learning). Additionally, the project(s) may be carried out in close collaboration with experimental or other computational groups.

PhD position summary/title: PhD Student in Environmental Chemistry
The recently communicated Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) framework of the European Union aims to develop new chemicals in a way that they are inherently environmentally safe. Implementation of this goal requires appropriate methods for high-throughput assessment of key environmental hazards, including chemicals’ persistence in the environment and their potential for causing (eco-)toxicological effects.
