About the Role:
The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre at the University Health Network (UHN) invites applications for an early-career faculty Scientist (Assistant Professor level) to lead an independent, world-class research program in Cancer Biology. The successful candidate will establish a cutting-edge research lab focusing on functional and mechanistic cancer biology, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the development of next-generation cancer therapies. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

Aging and inflammation

Cellular stress mechanisms

Functional genomics and structural biology

Chemical biology and therapeutic discovery
Priority will be given to applicants utilizing novel research platforms and technologies that complement UHN’s extensive institutional resources in genomics, proteomics, computational and structural biology, immunology, and high-throughput biology.
Qualifications & Requirements:

PhD and/or MD (or equivalent designation) in a relevant discipline

Proven expertise in cancer biology or related fields

Demonstrated record of high-impact discoveries (publications, patents, or intellectual properties)

Experience in student mentorship, supervision, and research dissemination

Ability to build and lead a productive, internationally recognized research program
