Manhattanville University invites applications for a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Biology in the School of Arts and Sciences. This teaching-focused faculty position emphasizes undergraduate instruction in Anatomy and Physiology I and II for Health Sciences students. Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate Anatomy and Physiology I and II and additional Biology courses as needed

  • Carry a teaching load of 30 credits per academic year

  • Develop, update, and assess curriculum using best pedagogical practices

  • Advise and mentor students in academic and career planning

  • Participate in departmental, school, and university service

  • Collaborate with faculty to support Natural Sciences and Health Sciences programs

  • Engage in ongoing professional development


Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Doctoral degree in Biology, Physiology, Health Sciences, Physical Therapy, or a closely related field

Experience:

  • Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching

  • Experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology

  • Familiarity with laboratory instruction and hands-on learning

  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment


Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Commitment to teaching diverse, first-generation, and low-socioeconomic-status students

  • Ability to teach a range of Biology courses

  • Effective integration of instructional technology

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Brightspace, or related platforms


Employment Details:
  • Work Schedule: Full-time (35 hours per week)

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None
