Observations:
  • Research output is highly concentrated in engineering, materials science, and energy-related disciplines.

  • International collaboration plays a significant role, especially with Saudi Arabia and the USA.

  • A large proportion of publications are published under major international publishers, particularly Elsevier.

Questions:
  • How can KUET further diversify its research into emerging interdisciplinary areas?

  • What strategies can increase high-impact publications (Highly Cited or Hot Papers)?

  • Can collaboration networks be expanded further into Europe and North America?

KUET’s 2025 research profile reflects strong technical depth, expanding global collaboration, and steady publication growth, positioning the university as an increasingly influential research institution in engineering and applied sciences.
