Project Title: Function of Perilipin 3 in Lipid Droplet Heterogeneity and Metabolism.
Project Overview: The lab at the University of Heidelberg is seeking two highly motivated PhD candidates to address cutting-edge questions in organelle biology: (Füllekrug Group: Heidelberg University Hospital)
Number of PhD positions: 02
- PhD1: Investigate novel perilipin 3 interactions and their role in subcellular lipid droplet heterogeneity.
- PhD2: Elucidate the molecular mechanism of perilipin 3-mediated transcriptional regulation and its connection to lipidomic flux and post-translational modifications.
Both projects employ state-of-the-art techniques, including proximity ligation assays, CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing, metabolic labeling, and RNA sequencing (RNA-seq).
