Position Overview

The Chemical & Biochemical Sciences (CBS) Department at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow in Applied Microbiology and Bioprocess. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary research team focusing on waste valorization and the production of high-value bio-based compounds.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and analyze experimental research activities in applied microbiology and bioprocessing

• Prepare detailed technical and scientific reports, including methodologies, results, and conclusions

• Publish research outcomes in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals

• Mentor and supervise master’s, doctoral, and undergraduate students

• Collaborate closely with faculty members, researchers, technicians, and students within the department

• Contribute to the advancement of research objectives aligned with departmental and institutional priorities

Candidate Requirements

Academic Qualifications

• Ph.D. obtained within the last five years in Microbiology, Bioprocess, Environmental Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in applied microbiology, phycology, and biochemistry

• Knowledge of molecular biology and chemical/physicochemical analysis

• Proficiency in biostatistics and analytical methodologies

Research Profile

• Demonstrated ability to design and execute experimental research

• Proven record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals

• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Language Proficiency
