The Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellow positions in the laboratory of Dr. Yue Wan. The lab focuses on applying biochemical and genomics approaches to understand how RNAs function within cells. Science Careers

Research Focus:

RNA structure and RNA–RNA interactions play a fundamental role in cellular function and gene regulation. Recent advances in high-throughput RNA structure probing and RNA interactome mapping have enabled large-scale, in-cell analysis of RNA organization (Aw et al., 2016).

Dr. Wan’s laboratory has been a pioneer in developing high-throughput RNA structure probing technologies and continues to extend these methods to study RNA function in microbial and mammalian systems (Kertesz et al., 2010; Wan et al., 2011, 2012, 2014).

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in RNA biology

• Apply and develop high-throughput RNA structure and interactome approaches

• Analyze RNA function in microbial and mammalian systems

• Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians and interdisciplinary research teams at GIS

• Publish findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals

Candidate Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field

• Strong background in RNA biology, cell biology, and/or genomics

• Demonstrated academic excellence and research productivity

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment

• Strong motivation and interest in cutting-edge RNA research
