A postdoctoral position is being offered at the University of Southern California (USC) in the area of cellular and molecular allergy and immunology. The research will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Omid Akbari, Professor of Immunology and Medicine.
In this role, research will be focused on advancing the understanding of lung immune regulation. Important contributions are expected to be made toward critical research areas in allergy, immunology, and respiratory disease through the application of cellular and molecular biology.

Required Qualifications:
- A Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in immunology, molecular biology, or a related discipline is required.
- A strong foundation in cellular and molecular techniques is expected.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in pulmonary or mucosal immunology.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals will be regarded as essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independent and collaborative research projects will be carried out.
- Experiments will be designed, performed, and analyzed.
- Manuscripts will be prepared, and support in grant writing will be expected.
