Research highlights of SAGE publications from Bangladesh:
Type Results
Review Article 18
Early Access 21
Open Access 120
Enriched Cited References 177
Observations:
  1. The research output shows strong representation in both science and social sciences, indicating interdisciplinary growth.

  2. Emerging sources (ESCI) account for a substantial proportion, suggesting researchers are also targeting newer or developing journals.

  3. Arts, humanities, and conference papers remain underrepresented compared to other domains.

Questions:
  1. What factors are driving the nearly equal distribution between SCI-Expanded, ESCI, and SSCI publications?

  2. How can Bangladeshi researchers increase representation in Arts & Humanities research?

  3. Does the reliance on ESCI journals indicate challenges in publishing in higher-impact established journals?

The 2024 SAGE publication data from Bangladesh reflects a diverse research ecosystem, with encouraging progress in both scientific and social sciences output, though future strategies could aim to enhance impact and representation in underexplored domains.
