Research Focus & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

Design and conduct research to uncover bacterial persistence mechanisms and evaluate drug efficacy
-
Utilize bacterial genetics, biochemical assays, in vitro infection models, and in vivo preclinical models (including BSL-3 studies)
-
Apply multi-omics approaches (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics) to identify and validate therapeutic targets
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external partners from academia, biotech, pharma, and global health organizations
-
Present findings in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences
-
Mentor junior researchers and contribute to an intellectually vibrant and collaborative research environment
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
-
Demonstrated scientific productivity through peer-reviewed publications
-
Hands-on experience in bacterial culture, molecular genetics, mammalian cell models, and biochemical methods
-
Familiarity with pharmacologic testing and evaluation of novel antimicrobial agents
-
Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of the scientific literature
Preferred:

Experience with BSL-3-level work or infectious disease models

Background in mass spectrometry-based metabolomics
