BioInnovation Institute & Science Prize for Innovation
Applications are being invited for the BioInnovation Institute & Science Prize for Innovation, through which bold researchers are recognized for groundbreaking contributions made at the intersection of life sciences and entrepreneurship. Science Prize.
The Prize
This distinguished award is given to scientists whose work combines exceptional basic research with a vision for real-world application. Recognition is granted to those who cross disciplinary boundaries with creativity and enthusiasm. AAAS.
Achievements may be reflected in intellectual property that has been protected and licensed to commercial entities—for example, proprietary drugs and biologics, diagnostic technologies, therapeutic interventions, health care information systems, or innovative solutions for biobased production of fuels, chemicals, and foods. Even research producing unexpected or “negative” results will be valued if it demonstrates boldness, creativity, and relevance.
The prize is awarded for outstanding research, to be described in a 1,000-word essay submitted by the applicant.

BioInnovation Institute (BII)
Located in Copenhagen, Denmark, the BioInnovation Institute has been established to accelerate world-class life science innovation for the benefit of society. Since its inauguration in November 2018, funding exceeding 95 million euros has been awarded to over 100 high-growth start-ups.
State-of-the-art laboratories, dynamic office facilities, mentorship, incubation, and international networking are provided to early-stage projects and start-ups, along with financial support of up to 3 million EUR per project and 1.8 million EUR per start-up. Through its expertise and resources, BII has empowered transformative innovation in the life sciences.
