Position Overview
The position will be based in Berlin, New York, Jersey City, Shanghai, Beijing, or Nanjing (hybrid working possible). A PhD in materials, chemistry, engineering, or related fields is required, with strong expertise in photocatalysis, photochemistry, or plasma catalysis. Postdoctoral research experience is preferred but not essential.
Editorial responsibilities will include:

Original research manuscripts will be handled and peer review will be overseen.

Well-reasoned editorial decisions will be made on submitted work.

Subject representation within the journal will be determined.

Close liaison with editors across the Nature family and the international scientific community will be maintained.

Conference attendance and research-institution visits will be undertaken.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English are required. A passion for science and the ability to evaluate research across a broad range of inorganic materials chemistry are expected.
Compensation and Benefits

Associate Editor salary: USD 80,000

Senior Editor salary: USD 95,000
