Karolinska Institutet is one of the world’s leading medical universities, renowned for groundbreaking research and high-quality biomedical education. The Department of Laboratory Medicine conducts advanced basic, clinical, and epidemiological research across seven divisions, working closely with clinicians at the Karolinska University Hospital. The Division of Biomolecular and Cellular Medicine (BCM) focuses on therapeutic applications of modified biomolecules and cellular products. The research group (EL Andaloussi Lab) develops innovative technologies for safe and efficient delivery of macromolecules—such as RNA, proteins, and gene editors—to specific target tissues in vivo.
