Observations
  1. Environmental and multidisciplinary research dominate the publication landscape, accounting for over 32% of all outputs when Environmental Sciences and Multidisciplinary Sciences are combined.
  2. International collaboration is a major strength, with nearly 40% of publications involving Saudi Arabia and significant partnerships with India, South Korea, Japan, and the USA.
  3. Research visibility is improving, as evidenced by 74 Open Access publications and the presence of two Highly Cited Papers within the 2025 output.
Questions for Further Analysis
  1. Which research groups or laboratories contributed to the two Highly Cited Papers, and what factors drove their impact?
  2. How does the citation performance of internationally co-authored papers compare with publications authored primarily within Bangladesh?
  3. What strategies can increase publication output in high-impact journals within Nature Portfolio, Springer Nature, and other leading publishers?

The 2025 publication profile highlights BAEC’s growing role as a multidisciplinary research institution with strong international partnerships and increasing global visibility. The combination of substantial publication output, broad international collaboration, and emerging citation impact suggests that BAEC is well positioned to enhance its scientific influence through targeted investment in high-impact research areas and strategic global collaborations.
