🔬 Research Focus:

The Cancer Genomics and Evolution Laboratory seeks talented and motivated postdoctoral researchers to spearhead projects in large-scale cancer genomics and tumor evolution. The group uses data-driven computational approaches to investigate cancer genes, mutational processes, genomic alterations and the evolutionary history of tumors.

Research is predominantly computational, with a complementary wet-lab component, and emphasizes large-scale genomic data analysis and development of innovative computational methods.

  • Intra-tumor heterogeneity across cancers
  • Evolutionary history of cancer

  • Subclonal reconstruction and benchmarking
  • Chromosomal instability in genome-doubled tumors
🎓 Candidate Profile:

Applicants should ideally have:

  • A PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics or a related field
  • A strong and demonstrable publication record
  • Research experience in cancer genomics is highly desirable
  • Experience handling massively parallel sequencing data is an advantage
  • Candidates from computational biology, physics, biostatistics, biology, medicine and related disciplines are welcome
  • Strong computational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaborative research abilities
