Observations:
  1. Original research dominated the publication portfolio, with 78 of 89 papers (87.6%) published as research articles.
  2. Health and environmental sciences accounted for the largest share of publications, indicating these are BUP’s strongest research domains.
  3. International collaboration is substantial, especially with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the USA, while publications appeared mainly in leading international publishers.
Questions:
  • How can BUP further increase publications in high-impact Q1 journals while maintaining research quality?
  • Can the university expand research output in emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Climate Technology?
  • What strategies can increase collaborations with additional leading research institutions across Europe and East Asia?

BUP’s 2025 Web of Science publication profile demonstrates steady research growth, strong international collaboration, and increasing visibility through leading global publishers. Expanding interdisciplinary research and strengthening publication in high-impact journals could further enhance the university’s global research reputation.
