The Dean’s Award was an exciting innovation introduced for the first time at NSU this year to recognize the exceptional achievements in research by the faculty members of the School of Health and Life Sciences.
In a ceremony held at NSU auditorium on February 19, 2016, Distinguished Professor Rita R Colwell of University of Maryland, USA, distributed away this prestigious award including a crest and certificate to Prof. Dr. Hasan Mahmud Reza and Dr. Ashraful Alam of Dept. of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Prof. Dr. Mizan R Khan of Department of Environmental Science and Management (DESM) for their outstanding research performances in the past 5 years.

Honourable BOT Chair Mr M A Kashem was present as the chief guest and Prof. Dr Anwar Huq of Maryland Pathogens Institute, the USA was present as the special guest.
