Info-graphic of the Scientific Documents Contributed by Researchers of University of Dhaka in 2021

The University of Dhaka has obtained the 1st Position among Bangladeshi Universities, and Research Organizations in terms of the number of publications in 2021 in Scopus indexed journals, conference proceedings, and book series.

The researchers from the University of Dhaka have contributed in only 1255 documents (Data analyzed on 15.01.2021) in Scopus indexed journals, conference proceedings, book chapters, editorial, Notes, and books. These include 581 open access documents.

Taking the faculty number from the UGC report 2019, the average article per faculty in 2021 is 0.52. n any consideration, this is much lower than expected.

On the other hand,

Out of these 1255 Documents, only 330 have the corresponding author with the official email address of the University of Dhaka, and 835 have Bangladesh as the corresponding address.  This information speaks volumes about the overall research at the University of Dhaka.  This means faculties and researchers of the University of Dhaka have made major contributions in only 1/4 of the publications. This also means that only one-third of the researches behind the publications originated at the University of Dhaka.  In other 925 publications, they are a minor contributor and major contributors are researchers from outside of the University of Dhaka

Most of the publications are in English (1254). There is one publication in Spanish. Out of 1255 publications, 1110 are finally published, and 145 articles are still in Press. The top 6  subject areas of publications are:

Subject area Documents
