Observations:
  • Multidisciplinary strength: Research is highly diversified, with notable contributions across science, medicine, food technology, environmental studies, computing, and sustainability.
  • Strong international collaboration: China, Malaysia, Hungary, the USA, and the Czech Republic are prominent international research partners.
  • Concentration among major publishers: Elsevier, Wiley, and Springer Nature together published 43 of 65 records (66.154%).
Questions:
  • Which research areas are likely to become the university’s strongest specializations based on publication growth and collaboration patterns?
  • How can the university expand collaborations with high-performing international research institutions?
  • What strategies could increase the proportion of high-impact and highly cited publications beyond the current article-dominated output?

The 2025 Web of Science profile indicates that State University of Bangladesh has a broad and increasingly international research portfolio, with particularly strong activity in multidisciplinary science, food science, medicine, environmental research, and technology. The substantial contribution from major global publishers and international collaborators provides a strong foundation for further improving the university’s research visibility, citation impact, and international research standing.
