Key Responsibilities
– Seek and secure external funding to complement HBKU resources.
– Prepare progress reports and recommend improvements to enhance research performance.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience
– PhD in Biomedical/Life Sciences or a related field.
– Minimum 15 years of relevant full-time experience, including at least 5 years in a senior research leadership role.
– Strong expertise in clinical, medical, and biomedical research, particularly in neurodevelopmental disorders.
– Proven experience in managing research centers and familiarity with research tools, procedures, and protocols.
– Strategic mindset with strong project management and budgeting skills.
– Excellent leadership, team-building, and people management abilities.
– Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment.
– Demonstrated success in securing research funding.
– In-depth knowledge of biomedical trends, FDA regulations, and international standards for biomedical devices and drug development.
Additional Requirements
– Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage (not mandatory).
