About the Fellowship

The High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI) at Princeton University invites applications for its prestigious Environmental Fellows Program 2027–28. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent and collaborative environmental research
  • Contribute to undergraduate teaching in Environmental Studies
  • Mentor students through internships and research projects
  • Design or assist in courses related to environmental themes

Eligibility Criteria

  • PhD completed with no more than 2 years of postdoctoral experience before September 1, 2027
  • Must secure at least one (preferably two) Princeton faculty mentors prior to application
  • Written confirmation of faculty mentorship is required
  • Current Princeton postdoctoral researchers are not eligible

Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with 140+ faculty members across 30+ departments
  • Engage in interdisciplinary research across sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities
